Scholarships

 The Alameda County Foster Parent Association Scholarship Program was launched in the Fall of 2016. The program provides academic and enrichment scholarships to foster, adopted and biological youth of currently licensed foster parents as well as relative and non-relative caregivers who have an open case with Alameda County.

To be eligible, the caregiver must be a good standing member of the ACFPA.
If awarded a scholarship, applicants have 30 days to utilize the funds.
There is a limit of one scholarship per child per year.

Scholarships are awarded, based on the available budget,
multiple times per year during the following application periods:


January 1- March 15
Notice to Applicants: April 1


April 1- June 15
Notice to Applicants: July 1


July 1- August 15
Notice to Applicants: September 1


September 1- October 15
Notice to Applicants: November 1
