Guaranteed Admission to Sacramento State for Former Foster Youth

Sacramento State is offering a pathway for admission for those who have experienced foster care. Through the university’s new Guardian Scholars Promise initiative (GSP), Foster Youth who meet California State University (CSU) eligibility requirements will be automatically granted admission to Sacramento State starting Fall 2025.

The Guardian Scholars Program (GSP) at Sacramento State offers a wide range of services to current and former foster youth such as academic advising, priority on-campus housing, priority registration and assistance with textbooks.

Students who are interested can contact the Guardian Scholars Program for more information through email at gsp@csus.edu or by calling 916-278-6680.
