Congratulations to the Orlando Family

We are so proud of the Orlando family who were honored with the Daily Point of Light Award this month. This award recognizes individuals and families who inspire us with their contributions to their community.

Rendy, Donald and their 10 adopted children are well known to the members of the ACFPA for their amazing work on the Clothing Closet. Rendy and the kids do an incredible job of keeping the Closet well stocked, organized and accessible to our membership.

Additionally, congratulations are in order to Rendy Orlando who was recently appointed to the ACFPA Board as the Co-fundraising chair.

Please take a minute to read their amazing and inspirational story on the Points of Light website.

Lawrence Livermore Donation

We are thrilled to report that Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC (LLNS) once again selected ACFPA for their 2019 Community Gift Program.

On Thursday November 7, 2019, Gwen McWilliams (ACFPA President) and Anita Peters (ACFPA 2nd Vice President), attended a reception hosted by LLNS and accepted a check for $3,000 on behalf of the ACFPA Scholarship program.

We are truly grateful for this gift and extremely appreciative of LLNS’s ongoing support and generosity.

Change in Membership Dues in 2020

The ACFPA membership dues have remained constant throughout the past many years. To better support the needs of the Resource Families and children in their care, the Board voted to raise the membership dues starting in January 2020.

Membership dues for Single families will increase from $40 to $45 and for Couples from $55 to $60. Dues can be paid by check or cash or online for an additional $2 service charge.

Membership dues are a significant part of our income and are critical in helping us support our various programs. Please renew your membership today.
