Tips for a Trauma Informed Holiday

The Holidays can be a time of connection and joy, but they can also bring up complex emotions, including grief, sadness, and trauma. This is especially true for foster and adoptive kids. Below are some tips that can help you and the kids in your care have a more enjoyable holiday.

Also, please take time for self-care. When you’re able to nurture your own well-being, you create a stronger foundation from which you can give. Taking the time to rest, set boundaries, nourish your body, and prioritize your mental and emotional health ensures that you’re in the best possible position to support others.
